World expert in complex knee surgery. Particularly his advances in ligament and meniscal surgery and cartilage transplantation are known internationally. This leads him to receive foreign patients continuously at his consultation in Barcelona.
Pablo did his specialist training at the Hospital del Mar in Barcelona (2003-2008), during which he also obtained the title of Doctor, with the qualification cum laude by the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB- 2007). He is currently Professor at the UAB.
He has been president and member of various committees within the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) and the Spanish Arthroscopy Association (AEA). He is an honorary member of the Latin American Society of Arthroscopy, Knee and Sport (SLARD) and of the Argentine Association of Sports Traumatology (AATD). He is also a member of the International Society for Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS). He was president of the Scientific Committee of ESSKA 2016 and member of this Committee for ESSKA 2022. Founder of the ESSKA Collateral Ligaments Working Group, of which he was its president between 2018 and 2020. He is also a member of the Editorial Board of the American Journal of Sport Medicine, number one with the specialty.
He has published more than 70 indexed scientific studies, 30 book chapters and performed hundreds of presentations at international courses and conferences. His skills in organising and chairing world-renowned scientific events, such as instructional and cadaveric courses, are also remarkable.
