Biography

Breck Lord is an internationally trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in both hip and knee surgery. He is passionate about managing sporting related injuries including anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture and multi-ligamentous knee reconstruction. His expertise extends to joint preservation surgery including meniscal repair, cartilage restoration procedures and osteotomy surgery. He cares for patients with debilitating arthritic pain, using the latest evidence to perform partial and total joint replacement surgery. He offers bespoke care to each patient, exploring all non-operative options and utilising the latest evidence to ensure his patients receive the best treatment.

Breck completed medical training at Cambridge University and University College London. He completed a PhD in knee reconstruction surgery at Imperial College London. Breck is an experienced surgical educator, having taught at Oxford University, Southampton University, Notre Dame University, Sydney and Melbourne University, Australia.

Breck has published extensively in a variety of peer reviewed journals and written book chapters for the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA). He completed fellowship training at the prestigious North Sydney and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Centre and OrthoSport Victoria, Australia. In addition, he completed fellowships in hip and knee replacement at St George’s University Hospital and the South-West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre.
